Giang Pham, PhD, CCC-SLP
Dr. Giang Pham is a professor in the School of Speech, Hearing, and Language Sciences and the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Health and Human Services. She is also a clinical researcher and certified bilingual speech-language pathologist (SLP). She completed her clinical training at San Diego State University and her doctoral training at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Pham's research focuses on investigating bilingual language development and disorders in children who speak Vietnamese or Spanish as a home language. She pursues local and international collaboration in San Diego and Vietnam to create Vietnamese assessment tools for accurate identification of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) in bilingual and monolingual children who speak Vietnamese. She is also dedicated to engaging students in all levels of research on bilingualism, child language, and language disorders.
