The BDC Team was very excited to share the festive spirit with the San Diego community this year! We attended and participated in many community events celebrating the Lunar New Year.
A big thank you to Rosa Parks Elementary School for so graciously inviting us to their annual Tết Celebration. They host families and community members with festivities including cultural music, performances, and food.
We are grateful to the Mira Mesa Library for hosting our display of traditional Tết items. We were thrilled to share these iconic symbols of heritage with the community.
Furthermore, our Storytime events at San Diego local libraries highlighted Vietnamese culture. Our team and community members gathered in traditional Vietnamese áo dài and enjoyed learning about the meaning and traditions of the Lunar New Year through stories and crafts.
