Our BDC Lab members have been making incredible strides in research and professional development, and we are excited to celebrate some of their recent accomplishments!
Mia Mangney and Tatiana Ramos-Gallardo presented their research, “Bilingual children expressing thought, emotion, and perception in two languages,” at the 2025 SDSU Student Symposium (S3).
A recent article in Language, Speech, & Hearing Services in Schools, titled “Fill in the blank: English morphosyntax production in matched bilingual groups,” was co-authored by our very own Jide Famoyegun (SDSU) and Dr. Giang T. Pham (SDSU), along with Dr. Lisa M. Bedore (Temple), and Dr. Elizabeth D. Peña (UCI). The article is currently in press.
Another publication in the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, “Optimizing a Vietnamese Sentence Repetition Task using Item Response Theory,” was co-authored by Dr. Giang T. Pham (SDSU), Alexander Choi-Tucci (UCI), Ngoc Do (SDSU), and Dr. Kerry Ebert (UMN). The article can be found here.
Fatima Roman was selected as a Foundational First Scholar through the California Speech Language Hearing Association (CSHA) Foundation’s Funding the Future program!
We’re incredibly proud of these achievements and excited for what’s next in the BDC lab! 🌟
